Welcome back my lovelies,
So today is actually my 1 year anniversary of blogging & writing on my glorious ‘apageofme’ blog. I kinda can and kinda can’t believe its been a year since I entered this blogging world and thinking about how up & down I’ve been about it!
I started off at a very good pace of posting, however you will have noticed the past 5 or 6 months there have been slim to no posts…purely because I just felt like I didn’t know what to write! I think I was putting too much pressure on myself to write something that other people would enjoy, instead of writing about my loves and passions. Obviously the blogging world is huge, trying to keep up and stay ‘relevant’ can sometimes prove tricky.
BUT..
What I’ve learnt is don’t try to keep up, just do you and everything will be fine.
If you enjoy something, go for it wholeheartedly & just see where it takes you! (I included that photo because I 100% still wish I was holiday!)
I think because the highly ‘promoted’ bloggers especially in the fashion, fitness & beauty industry are predominantly slim and gorgeous, people presume they have to look like that. Even I for a brief second (more like a long while) was like ‘I can’t blog or take nice pics of myself… I don’t fit in.’ The words ‘I don’t fit in’ have been with me my whole life! Wherever I have been, school, work, uni, holiday I just always have this underlying I don’t belong here feeling. Even at blogger events I think woooo I’m just not the same as everyone else. Which I know is 100% ridiculous, even typing it I’m like gurlll you need to get over that! I just wish it was that easy! …I think I’m working on it though.

Life throws thoughts & obstacles at you for a reason & its your choice what you do with them.
I hope this post has given you a little insight into my head space & where I’ve been!
Fran, X
Happy 1 year anniversary to your blog! I know exactly what you mean about trying to write for other people instead of for yourself. I took a hiatus for a few months too for the same reason.. I was putting pressure on myself to be a “big blogger” and lost the fun of blogging in the first place. Now I’m back to writing what I want to write about and I’m actually having fun blogging again. Remember why you started this blog and keep it up!
